Obamas Show Off New Pet (PHOTO)

US President Barack Obama and his family have acquired a second Portuguese water dog, Sunny.

In October 2012 Michelle Obama told reporters that their first dog Bo was lonely, but now she will have a 'little sister' to keep her company at the White House.

Named Sunny, the Portuguese Water Dog is same breed as the Obamas' current pet, Bo, who was adopted by the the President in April 2009, fulfilling a campaign promise to daughters Sasha and Malia.

The White House says that breed works well for the Obamas because of family allergies.

Sunny was born last June in Michigan and arrived at the White House on Monday. She is expected to join Bo for evening walks and the occasional Oval Office huddle with the president.
